We've got some new Old World news! Which, if you're at all active on social media, you already know by now. But what you probably don't know is that you can't play Warhammer without a GM. Unless you want to of course, in that case it's totally fine. Apparently in the 80s it was a lot easier planning a game with 3 people. Nowadays, I've even got trouble planning a solo game. But the Ziggurat of Doom is coming! Someday...

The Forces of Fantasy Podcast presents: Forces of Fantasy volume 1: Forces of Fantasy. Sorry, had to do that. Today is all about building up your Warhammer 1st edition armies, which you can mix and match from different factions. Big fun, it's only that the rules for Chaos are a bit... chaotic.

7 - The Legend of Kremlo the Slann

Apart from many, many, MANY, many very cheap metal miniatures, the First Citadel Compendium also contains a treasure trove of errata, new rules, clarifications and a lovely scenario of an unlikely Frogman (a Slann, of course, what were you thinking?) who leads his village of Norsemen on a raid in the jungle which may or may not or may probably end in genocide. Ah, we're going to miss you, 1983!

Friend of the show Joern Huenteler comes on to talk about his love for Warhammer, his Call of the Crown Wood Elf army and painting techniques. He also doesn't shy away from sharing some deeply personal stuff.

4 - Characters, Magic, and Magic Charaters

We'll close off our look at the 1st edition core books today with the Characters and Magic books. These give a ton of options for role-playing settings, and there's even a quick and easy Wizard generator which I'll definitely try out on the podcast's Patreon page.

3 - Forces of Warhammer: The Old World

We've gotten some Old World news! Games Workshop revealed the factions that will be prominent in their upcoming new game. These "Forces of W:tOW" (which doesn't have nearly the same ring to it as "Forces of Fantasy") show us not only which armies we will get rules for, but also some models that are almost certainly probably maybe going to be re-released. Hopefully.
